Mirchi Bajji

Ingredients:
Oil for deep Frying

Batter:
1 Cup - Besan
1 TeaSpoon - Roasted Chana Dal Powder (Putnala podi)
Salt as per taste
Water

Stuffing:
1/4th Cup - Peanuts
5 - Cloves
2 TeaSpoon - Thick Tamarind Paste
Salt as per taste
[Stuffing Option 2 provided below]

Procedure:
1. Dry fry peanuts and grind them along with cloves and salt.
2. Take out the ground powder and mix it separately with tamarind paste.

3. Slit chilies vertically as shown, remove seeds and stuff the above prepared paste into it.

4. Mix all the batter ingredients into a thick paste (similar to Idli Batter).
5. Heat oil for deep frying.
6. Once oil is hot, put the stove in medium heat.
7. Dip the stuffed chilli into the batter and drop it into the oil.
8.Once the bajjis turn golden color on all sides, take them out of the oil.
9. Serve the bajji's hot with Onion and lemon mix.

Note:
1. To test if oil is hot enough, drop a pinch of batter into the oil and if the batter comes up, this is the indication that oil is ready for deep frying.
2. You can also use the below stuffing instead:
    Stuffing Option 2:
    - Coarse Ajwain powder / Vaamu Powder
    - Salt as per taste
