1 Cup - Urad Dal Powder
2 TeaSpoons - Red Chilli Powder
1/2 TeaSpoon - Salt (or as per your taste)
1/4th TeaSpoon - Hing
3 TeaSpoons - Sesame Oil
Water
Procedure:
- Mix all the above dry ingredients in water.
- Then add sesame oil and knead well.
- The dough consistency should be similar to chapathi dough.
- Make small balls out of the dough and press gently between your palms.
- Appadala Undalu is ready to serve.
- This is to be served with white rice and ghee.
- This also goes well with Pesara Pappu Allam Pulusu (Moong dal and Ginger stew).
This dish has some raw taste to it, that mostly elders enjoy.
